OneOC Honors Branded Group With 2018 Spirit of Volunteerism Award

Branded Group’s One-for-One Program Benefits Habitat for Humanity of Orange County

Branded Group was recently honored by OneOC at the 42nd Annual Spirit of Volunteerism Awards Gala for their commitment to giving back to the community. Their award-winning One-for-One program is the centerpiece of the company’s social impact program, which benefits Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, who nominated them for the award.

“I’m deeply gratified that Branded Group has been named as the recipient of this award,” Kurland said. “My team and I are privileged to work alongside our partners at Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, which provides homes for families in need of affordable housing.”

Branded Group nominated their team member, Kiara Duarte, Facilities Coordinator, for the Spirit of Volunteerism award for volunteering for 24 hours with Habitat in 2017. “I’m humbled to have received this award,” Duarte said. “I’m so proud to work for a company that is committed to giving back to those in need.”

Branded Group’s One-for-One social impact program transforms every completed client service call into one minute of volunteer time with Habitat of Humanity of Orange County. To date, Branded Group team members have volunteered over 225 hours and have a 2018 goal of 250 hours, the volunteer time needed to build a house in its entirety. The team has participated in multiple events, including Team, Women, and Leader’s Build Days, as well as volunteered in the Habitat OC ReStores, its local home improvement thrift store.

“Our vision is to build a conscious business that inspires future humanitarian leaders,” said Kurland. “I would like to congratulate all of the honorees for their commitment to making a difference with their ongoing dedication to volunteerism.”

OneOC’s Spirit of Volunteerism Awards recognizes volunteers for their service to the community. As one of the oldest awards program in Orange County, its mission is to accelerate nonprofit success by providing volunteer, training, consulting and business services to help nonprofits become more efficient and effective.
